What We Do

We create delicious cakes, coffee, beverages and light meals with African and Caribbean flavours, each featuring a Bible verse on the packaging to spread hope and love. Our goal is to employ refugees and those experiencing homelessness to craft and deliver these products, empowering them to rebuild their lives.

Our Purpose

More than just a food company, Light in Cake is committed to transforming lives and communities. We’re building a bakery coffee shop run by those we serve—a space of purpose, belonging, and hope, where all are welcome to experience Christ’s love, whether they are believers or not.

The Need We’re Addressing

Over 354,000 people are homeless in England (Shelter), including nearly 12,000 sleeping rough in London (CHAIN database). Only 11.6% of homeless individuals are employed (2021 Census), and refugees face high unemployment rates and lower wages (Breaking Barriers). Meanwhile, a spiritual revival is growing, with more young adults and ethnic minorities attending church and seeking ways to make a difference (Bible Society).

Light in Cake responds to both the challenges and the spiritual awakening by creating a space where faith, social change, and community converge.
